Information: Broad River Campground is located on the south bank of the Broad River where, it joins the Savannah River, on J. Strom Thurmond Lake, the largest Corps of Engineers Lake east of the Mississippi River. This quiet, rural area is very historic, near the now flooded town of Petersburg, and the Nancy Hart Historical Site in Elbert County. The campground is 20 miles southeast of Elberton, Georgia, "Granite Capital of the World".
The campground features double and triple sites, great for families and friends traveling together. All sites are equipped with water and electrical hook-ups. The ramp at the campground offers the only boating access to the Broad River.
