Information: Lake Malone is a 788-acre (3.19 km2) artificial lake in Logan, Muhlenberg, and Todd counties in Kentucky. It was impounded from Rocky Creek in 1961 and named for Mr. and Mrs. Wallace C. Malone who donated a large tract of land for the lake.

Lake Malone is located in Muhlenberg, Todd, and Logan counties approximately 15 miles south of Greenville off State Highway 973. This lake, owned by the Kentucky
Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, was built in 1961 and opened to public fishing in 1963. Lake
Malone State Park is located on the lake and has a camp ground, picnic area, beach and swimming area, a
marina where boats may be rented and a concrete boat ramp and parking area. A private marina and boat ramp (a
launching fee is charged) is also located on the lake.
Primary sport fish species are largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, and channel catfish. Additional species collected from the lake include
green sunfish, warmouth, black bullhead, yellow bullhead, spotted gar, bowfin, grass pickerel, gizzard shad, spotted sucker, bluntnose minnow, blackstripe topminnow, trout-perch, pirate perch, logperch, and brook silverside.
