Information: Dickey Lake is located in the northwest corner of Montana, 20 miles from Canada and 65 miles from the entrance to Glacier National Park. The campground is adjacent to the lake, which is clean, clear and enjoyed by many for water-skiing, boaring, fishing, swimming, sunbathing, etc. Few amenities are provided other than picnic tables, fire rings, tent pads, and boat trailer and RV parking. The campground has 25 campsites; 2 are reservable and 23 are filled through a first come, first serve basis.
Located in an exceptional area of the state, the campground is adjaent to several hiking trails providing opportunities for many user groups. A trail for the physically challenged is adjacent to the campground and leads to a viewing platform that offers nice views of the lake. Interpretive programs are given throughout the summer. In the spring and early summer the sound of the loon can often be heard. Amoderately sized market with gas and groceries is located 3 miles to the north and a small eatery and pub with espresso is located 2 miles to the west.
