Information: Lake Lackawanna is a man made lake that was created in 1911. Lake Lackawanna has 6 coves and 2 islands. The bigger island is named Snake Island and the smaller island (near NJ Bar & Grill) is named Turtle Island, named so because of the big rock behind it that looks like a turtle with its back and head sticking out of the water.
