Boating is limited to boats powered by electric motors and un-powered boats. There are 7 access points (ranging from gravel ramps to improved concrete ramps with small docks) and associated parking facilities.
Muskellunge and black crappie in particular have been doing very well.
Lake Tamarack is used for fishing and boating, but only electric motors are allowed. There is a wide, sandy beach for those who like to swim in the lake's cool waters, fed by nine trout streams which fill the lake. There are a number of picturesque waterfalls along the nature trails.
