Information: Lake Tulloch is a reservoir that was created by damming the Stanislaus River in the mid '50s as part of the New Melones Lake power project. The flow and level of water is regulated by the New Melones dam, so it is not affected by drought - it is kept full (about 500'-510' elevation) during the warm months, and lowered during the winter months.

All boating is permitted as well al water-skiing, jet-skis, swimming; and overnight boating. Improved launch facilities and full service marina available. Boat rentals and fuel are available at the marina.
Tulloch holds a wide variety of species of fish including both smallmouth and largemouth bass, catfish, crappie, bluegill, trout, and salmon.
