Information: Description: Ashley lake is off the beaten trail in North West Montana. To find this treasure you must deal with about several miles of gravel road north off Hwy. 2. There is a road off Batavia Lane also.The city of Kalispell is to the east of the lake about 4 miles. Ashley lake is about 5 miles long and a mile or so wide.It has 16.5 miles of shoreline. The lake is 89 feet deep on average and maximum depth of 225 ft. It is 2,850 acres approximately. Elevation is 3998. The area is 15% public,the rest is private.There is a good fishery with kokanee,rainbow cutthroat cross bred trout and variety of other fish.Ashley Lake is located in northwest Montana at an elevation of 3500 feet. The lake is 4 miles long and 2 miles wide. There is a campground located on the north shore of the lake with a few tent and trailer sites. Fishing is good for kokanee, cutthroat, yellow perch and an occasional rainbow-cutthroat hybrid. There is a swimming area, boat ramp, picnic tables and restrooms provided. Pets are welcome.
